Ipari Forma
Ipari Forma (‘industrial form’) was established as the legal successor of the former Ipari Művészet (‘industrial art’), a magazine published from 1957 to 1975 under the aegis of the Applied Arts Council [Iparművészeti Tanács]. Edited by the Design Centre, Ipari Forma was published from 1976 to 1980 by the Public Education Propaganda Office [Népművelési Propaganda Iroda] of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce. The bimonthly periodical provided coverage of the most significant national and international design-related events and developments. The magazine included case studies, critiques, and analyses, along with design history pieces. It also published abstracts of articles from foreign magazines, as well as news and coverage of the most important events of the Industrial Design Council and the Design Center.
From 1980 onwards, Ipari Forma was published by Révai Press, with Lapkiadó Company assuming responsibility for its publication. Subsequently, the magazine was made available to the general public. In 1988, the Design Center entered into an agreement with the National Technical Development Committee [Országos Műszaki Fejlesztési Bizottság] regarding the joint publication of Ipari Forma. It ceased publication in 1994.
