Published from 1957 to 1993 by the Union of Artists of the USSR, its circulation ranged from 6,000 to 42,000 copies. One of the journal\u2019s originators and its main ideologist was the philosopher and art theorist Karl Kantor\u2014one of the founders of the Senezh Studio.
