Its seven issues (two of them double issues) were each dedicated to a subject area, including information theory, computer science, television, and other forms of experimental visual research. The magazine\u2019s cover design was created by the Croatian artist and designer Ivan Picelj (1924\u20132011). <br>Released in 1969, <em>Bit 4<\/em> was dedicated to the topic of design, featuring texts by prominent contemporary design thinkers Tomas Maldonado, Gui Bonsiepe, and Claude Schnaidt, along with influential Croatian art historians Matko Me\u0161trovi\u0107 (b. 1933), Radoslav Putar (1921\u201394), Fedor Kritovac (1938\u20132011), and Vera Horvat Pintari\u0107 (b. 1926). Particular attention was paid to West Germany\u2019s Ulm School of Design, its influence on design education, and its unfortunate end in 1968.
