Like the 1957 Interbau showcase in Berlin, the Invalidovna estate in Prague, Czechoslovakia, was an experimental housing development. The project was led by Josef Pol\u00e1k (1923\u201394), Vojt\u011bch \u0160alda (b. 1930), Jan Zelen\u00fd (1934\u20132012), Emanuela Kittrichov\u00e1 (1909\u201389), and Ivan Nedoma (1911\u201378).
Consisting of prefabricated blocks of flats, it also hosted Experiment \u201961, an interior design exhibition visited by over 75,000 people. On the initiative of Emanuela Kittrichov\u00e1, \u00daBOK designed ten units in the first building constructed for the estate. They were designed as model apartments for one or more persons. The most successful ones featured furniture sets and individual pieces by, among others, Emanuela Kittrichov\u00e1 and Eva Hr\u016fzov\u00e1. Olga Karl\u00edkov\u00e1\u2019s (1923\u20132004) domestic textiles were another highlight of the exhibition.
